“What a fantastic villa this is, the views are breathtaking!
We’ve enjoyed exploring the area with Betty’s advice and guidance. Particularly liked the tavernas in the village and Kiki in the village shop was a real character and their wood-fired breads and chocolate brioche were amazing and enjoyed by all.
The Akron at Paleokastritsa was our favourite and well worth a visit for food, a great beach where you can hire parasols and a sunbed with refreshments on tap. We also hired a boat for a brilliant 4 hour trip touring bays in that area. Lovely snorkelling there too.
Nobody wants to go home as we’ve had such an amazing time! Look out for the friendly swallows taking a dip in the pool in the early evening and the bats too!

“The family from Denmark would like to thank Villa Michael for a lovely week here on Corfu. We have explored most of the island both on boat and in car. We saw some very beautiful beaches and lovely landscapes and nature.
We will truly recommend renting a boat so you can go exploring on your own, Betty helped us with the booking!
The pool, lots of ice cubes and air conditioning helped us through a week with a serious heat wave.

“The villa is perfect, we have two families staying, loads of room (including bathrooms, no queuing). The maid Betty is a fountain of knowledge of the local attractions, beaches and tavernas etc. Car hire is a must because of the location, but what a location! Views over the local village of Doukades amazing during the day and night. The local shop owned by Kiki has everything that you would need and if she doesn’t have it she will get it for you, lovely friendly lady where nothing is too much trouble. The best beach we found was about half an hour away down a twisty mountain road, when we got there the beach was deserted, it was the second week of Easter half term, so not many tourist places open, but still worth while for the clear waters. Our great thanks to Mark for a fantastic villa, situated perfectly on the hill side amongst the olive groves with breathtaking views.
We will be returning, possibly sooner rather than later!”
One of the best holidays we have had. The villa itself is amazing, everything and more you could possibly need. The heated pool (in October) was perfect, even at night. The location is perfect to explore the North of the island.

“We all had a fantastic time at Villa Michael - the villa has everything we needed and more.
Like people before us, we only ventured away from the villa or Doukades on a few occasions. The food in the village is wonderful. For children, the food was a little better suited in Paleokastritsa, all the local people were very friendly.
Whole here we had a little trouble with the fridge/freezer, just a call to Betty and a replacement was on its way and installed in a couple of hours. Betty could not have been more help, she even stored our freezer contents in her own home to make sure they didn’t spoil!
Betty organised taxis for us as well, she is one of life’s “lovely people” - very kind, helpful, sociable and determined (especially when sourcing fridge/freezers).
Hopefully you will love Villa Michael as much as we did!”

“This was a Birthday holiday and we had 60th Birthday celebrations to remember. The villa is a great place to stay and the perfect location on the island, being central to everything.
The sunrise is spectacular every morning, though the weather wasn’t kind to us at the end of the week, but this didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves.

“It was my first time to Villa Michael, my parent’s 3rd and my sister’s 5th! Safe to say we all love it, the village, Betty and the whole of Corfu.
Kiki’s is great for anything you need, especially the chocolate brioche.
La Grotta and Akron are great for days out/beach club vibes.

“Perfect, royal, ideal, a corner of paradise.
Excellent stay. We were there from the 21st to the 28th of April. Beautiful weather. Beginning of week at 23° and end of the week at 30°. Breakfast every morning on the terrace facing the pool with stunning views of the mountains and olive groves. Corfu is a pretty island with great sightseeing. Do not miss the palace of Sissi and the house of the shooting of the Durrell and for this last thank you to our hostess Betty without whom we would never have found... Super Betty!
The restaurants of Doukades are typical and cheap. No need to go further. Mark, our host, was always very attentive.
Excellent séjour. Nous y étions du 21 au 28 avril. Temps magnifique. Début de semaine à 23 et fin de semaine à 30°. Petit déjeuner tous les matins sur la terrasse face à la piscine avec vue imprenable sur les monts et les champs d’oliviers. Corfu est une jolie île avec de superbes visites. Ne pas rater le palais de Sissi et la maison du tournage des Durrell et pour cette derniere merci à notre hôtesse Betty sans qui nous n’aurions jamais trouvé..super Betty !
Les restaurants de doukades sont typiques et pas chers. Pas la peine d’aller plus loin.
Marks notre hôte a été toujours très attentionné.”
“We have been at Villa Michael from 28th April to 5th May with our family (5 persons). A very complete house with 4 master bedrooms. The beds are very good (for sleeping). When you have a laptop, you can connect with the television. Good gaming for kids. But outside is the best because of the view en the swimming pool. Nice, fresh en clean. We come back for sure!”
“We had an amazing 2 week stay in this fabulous villa. The views are spectacular and location is just perfect. We had hours of fun in the infinity pool and jacuzzi and, when not out, spent our evenings playing backgammon and table tennis . The local village is great and the villagers are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. There are 3 great restaurants and a bar/supermarket with the best chap running an Aladdin’s Cave. Would definitely recommend Mark’s pad and definitely want to stay here again soon.”
“We stayed here as a family of 7 adults at the beginning of June as it was highly recommended by our daughter who had stayed here in May. The villa is stunning and finished to a very high standard. It has everything you would possibly need while on holiday. It’s very spacious and modern. The photos don’t do the view justice, it’s simply breathtaking. We loved the infinity pool. It was mesmerising watching the swallows skim across it. You do need a car. The local people were very welcoming. The lovely housekeeper Betty gave us lots of recommendations to explore on Corfu. We really liked La Grotta and the Akron bar in Paleokastritsa. We enjoyed the water park. We would highly recommend this villa and hope to visit again.”
